To our valued clients,

The veterinarians at Colts Neck Equine believe in the basic tenants of the HISA legislation as it relates to horse welfare and racing integrity.  We are primarily concerned with the humane treatment of horses and the proper, judicious, acceptable and ethical use of legal therapeutic medications to treat our patients when necessary.  We however do not agree with the way the act was implemented and passed as it has many issues and is now in the courts.  In order to achieve true uniformity for ALL racing disciplines, insure integrity and proper and sensible medication protocols taking into account the differences in the breeds and differences in business models, we believe it is time to go back to the drawing board and do this properly.  We are passing this letter along to our clients and if they believe in what it stands for we urge them to add their names to it.

Thank you from the veterinarians at CNEA.
